According to a report by the Auditor-General, in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Ernst &amp; Young (EY), <\/span><b><i><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat;\">projects valued at GH\u00a2685,850,934.20 have been halted pending validation of financial claims.<\/span><\/i><\/b><span style=\"mso-spacerun: 'yes'; font-family: Montserrat; font-size: 10,0000pt; mso-font-kerning: 0,0000pt;\">\u00a0This development has placed communities across nearly every region of Ghana in a state of uncertainty, as hospitals and medical facilities they were promised remain unfinished.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"mso-spacerun: 'yes'; font-family: Montserrat; font-size: 10,0000pt; mso-font-kerning: 0,0000pt;\">The Auditor-General, Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu, explained that the audit was part of efforts to sanitize the public financial system and prevent illegitimate payments. District hospital projects in <\/span><b><i><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat;\">Ningo-Prampram, Kwahu Afram Plains, Wa East, and Atwima Mponua, each valued between GH\u00a25 million and GH\u00a210 million, remain unvalidated. In the Western Region, CRCEG Ghana Ltd\u2019s GH\u00a27.4 million claim for the construction of the Mpohor District Hospital is still pending, <\/span><\/i><\/b><span style=\"mso-spacerun: 'yes'; font-family: Montserrat; font-size: 10,0000pt; mso-font-kerning: 0,0000pt;\">while in the Ashanti Region, multiple contractors such as Antgya Ghana Ltd, Okwahou Logistics &amp; Construction Ltd, and Reliance Logistics &amp; Construction Ltd have unresolved claims for hospitals in Nyinahin, Trede, and Atwima Mponua.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"mso-spacerun: 'yes'; font-family: Montserrat; mso-fareast-font-family: \u5b8b\u4f53; font-size: 10,0000pt; mso-font-kerning: 1,0000pt;\">The report makes clear that all pending claims must be justified by November 7, 2025, after which any unverified commitments will be permanently expunged from the government\u2019s arrears and commitments register.
